Paul Wintermore bio
Paul Wintermore is a lifelong musician since 13 years old. His main instrument is guitar (lead/slide/acoustic) but has been playing in parallel nearly as long on mandolin, drums, and bass, with just enough keyboard skill built up in the last ten years to cut a keyboard/synth-oriented CD. Growing up in west Michigan USA, early influences were local whiz-kids of the country/bluegrass mold as well the roster of great blues, Motown, and blues-rock players like John Lee Hooker, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Johnny Winter, the British blues-rock armies. As well, Paul was enchanted by the fingerpicking and Celtic playing of Leo Kottke, John Renbourn, and Buster B. Jones and has carried those influences and techniques for a few decades. Latest in the instrument lineup is Irish bouzouki/octave mandolin. His most recent tracks have been produced by A Diamond Heart productions, Brooklyn NY.
